Meanings and Non-sense

The meanings of language are suitable for communication and entertainment and are not the conscious experience they identify. By definition, consciousness and conscious experience are energies detected and transduced to nerve impulse activity. The meanings of language are artificial and have no coincidence with reality. These facts are obvious. Not so obvious is the fact that the opinions and speculation of ancient scholars have no validity other than the authority given the writings by agreement of devotees. The ancient writings are as questionable as the opinions of political columnists: for the most part, non-sense.

Consciousness and Conscious Experience

The environment detected by sensory receptors is consciousness. The intrafusal spindles detected by spindle receptors is conscious experience. Thought is behavior, the meaning of which is agreement on the real or imagined conscious experience that initiates it. We are, insofar as consciousness is concerned, conscious experience. The conscious experience of the environment without meaning is the experience of being. Conscious experience is not an essence or an entity. Conscious experience is the detection of the energies of the environment or the energies developed in the intrafusal muscle spindles. The nature of conscious experience is response to the intensity and meaning to the system of the three determinants, the environment, neurochemicals and experience, all of which are graded in intensity.

Being and Reality

Being, the fundamental experience of consciousness, owes the intensity of the experience to emotion. Emotion is the determinant effected by neurochemicals; neurochemicals produced in response to the detection of the environment or the intrafusal spindles. The distinction is consciousness is reality and not experience reality is the experience of the detection of energies by receptors: sensory and spindle receptors.

Conscious Experience

As consciousness is the experience of the environment, conscious experience is the experience of the intrafusal muscle spindles. Energies are developed in the spindles by innervation and the discharge of impulse activity from congenitally and experientially configured synaptic activity. No matter the discourse, thought or behavior effected as response, conscious experience is the detection of the intrafusal muscle spindles. The environment, neurochemicals, and experience are responsible for the development of energies in the spindles; however, it is the detection of the spindles analogous to the detection of the environment as consciousness that is conscious experience.

God and Being

The common belief in a god or gods can be attributed to the identification of the conscious experience of being. The experience of consciousness, the experience of the environment and the realization that the forces of nature determine our being, can be attributed to a superior force or entity. In the effort at identification, the most popular representation is, apparently, the relationship a person has with a parent. The symbolic use of father or mother is common in most religions. The incentive to identify the circumstance of our being and create meaning for our existence is determined by ignorance and not reality.

Superstition and Ignorance

The theory of conscious experience, by identifying the nature of consciousness and experience and explaining the development of language, provides knowledge of our being and the reason for our behavior. Yet, the knowledge has yet to dispel the superstitious assumption that we are accountable to an unknown force for our being. In truth, we need only be concerned with our own behavior including the behavior of thought. Much of the thought, though, is couched in the superstition and knowledge that we have learned from caregivers and peers. The question arises as to whether or not social orders can survive and prosper without the superstitious assumptions. The answer is that it is the only way that civilizations will survive. Civil orders created on false premises will eventually fail. The only permanent authority is experience.

A Fine Point

The conscious experience of the environment, by definition, requires enhancement. Enhancement, the innervation of the spindles by the impulse activity discharged from configured synapses, serves to establish the system as existent. Enhancement modifies and supplements energies of innervation. To increase or modify the development of energies, constitutes the creation of an experiencing system. Consciousness is the detection of the innervated system; Conscious experience is the detection of the enhanced condition of the spindles. Consciousness is the experience of the environment. Conscious experience initiates conscious behavior. The behavior of language is unique in that, by agreement, meaning is associated with the experience. Meaning is the experience of the enhancement of energies developed as language in the spindles of vocalization. A fine point of the theory is that the detection of the enhancement is conscious experience and thereby the experience of meaning.

Conscious Experience

Conscious experience is the transduction of energies developed in response to system innervation and enhancement. Enhancement is supplemental innervation of spindles by efferent impulse activity discharged from congenitally and experientially configured synaptic activity. The enhancement determines the detection of energies to be conscious experience . It is the detection and transduction of the enhanced development of energies that initiates conscious behavior. Conscious behavior is response to innervation and experience. The form of the behavior of vocalization requires agreement to be meaningful. Agreement is effected by the mutual experience of consciousness. The meanings are the agreement and not the experience of the detected energies. That we concretize meanings in the form of language does not establish meaning as a reality. Without experience, there is no reality.

Knowledge

Declarative knowledge is created by agreement on the association of vocalization and the conscious experience that initiates it. Declarative knowledge is, by definition, meaningful non-sense suitable only for communication and entertainment. Without the experience of agreement, there is no declarative knowledge. The only knowledge, in any case, is experience.

Emotion

Of the general classification of the elements that determine conscious experience, the environment, modulation, and experience, the determinant that provides an experience of consistency, is modulation (emotion). The moment-to-moment variation in conscious experience occurs in a system determined by the significant configuration ot past experience. Conscious behavior is determined and implemented in response to the fundamental conscious experience of transduced energies: this unless the behavior of thought manifests an overriding authority.
